One on One Personal Training – one on one personal training is where you will work just you and your personal trainer who will employ several techniques, and exercise methodologies listed below, to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Circuit Training - Circuit training is a unique way to train; it saves time and simultaneously delivers the benefits of a cardio session with those of a strength training session. There is no rest in the circuit program which will create a supercharged calorie burning workout. This program is also based around multi-joint, multi-muscle exercises, otherwise known as functional exercise. These functional exercises (such as performing a squat with a shoulder press) will spread the benefit around your body and make you fit for activities you perform in your everyday life. This is a great approach for those who already understand the basics of strength training have a limited amount of time for workouts and need to fit both cardio and strength training into one session.
Fitness Assessment and Goal Setting - Personal training should always start with fitness assessments and goal setting. Our trainers will perform girth measurements and provide you with body fat percentage at your request. We will also test your muscular endurance and flexibility. Once your current level of fitness has been assessed, your trainer will work with you to set your fitness goals, and will be able to design the best program to help you reach those goals as fast as possible.
Cardiovascular Training - Cardiovascular training focuses on your target heart rate where you are increasing your ability to use more oxygen and strengthening your heart lung complex. There are a variety of ways to perform this type of exercise so it can be unique and fun, and never boring. The important thing is to train in your right target zone to get the maximum benefit.
Strength Training - Strength training is necessary to build muscular strength, to increase your metabolism, and develop a sleek toned body. Your personal trainer will employ various pieces of equipment such as dumbbells, medicine balls, free weights, resistance cables, and more and will compound movements as you advance, in strength, balance, and coordination.
Martial Arts – Martial Arts training will include kickboxing, various hand movements and breathing techniques. Many of our trainers have black belts in various styles of martial arts, and you can learn some very diverse movements from them.
Pilates - Developed by doctor Joseph Pilates this is a series of stretching and strength training that focuses on helping you develop a very strong core. Your core is the foundation of many movements that you perform.
Group Personal Training - Small group personal training is done in groups of 2-6 people and can be a great alternative to working out one on one with your personal trainer. Training with your spouse or a friend, or a group of friends is ideal because you still receive accountability, motivation, support, experience, and expert guidance to reach your fitness goals, at a reduced rate.
